Posting Schedule
I am traveling to ski with my family through February 2. In an attempt to spend as much time with them (and sleeping, too!), my posts will be shorter and more to the point compared to normal. During periods with drier weather, I may write on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule. At the bottom of each post, I will always mention when to expect the next post. Thanks for your understanding and your support!
Wednesday
Wednesday will be sunny and warmer with a high temperature of around 20°F.
Thursday
Thursday will be sunny and the warmest day of the week with a high temperature of around 30°F.
Friday
Friday will bring more clouds and the temperature will only reach about 20°F.
Next Storms
On Friday night and Saturday morning, a cold storm will bring a period of snow which should amount to 4-8 inches. Not all factors are aligned for big snow totals (the storm is short-lived and the temperature will be too cold), but most models agree that the area around Winter Park could see the best combination of factors which may push snow totals to or above 6 inches.
This means that there should be some powder on Saturday morning. However, the bigger story will be the cold air as high temperatures will stay in the single digits throughout the weekend.
On Monday, another storm will bring just light snow and a reinforcing push of cold air. The high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will stay in the single digits above/below zero. Dress warmly.
The rest of next week (January 21-24) should be dry and still chilly, and then the next chance for snow will be sometime in the January 25-31 time frame.
