Friday

Friday's first chair will have 7 inches of new snow. A strong squall dropped a quick 5 inches on Thursday night through Friday at 5 am, and it's still snowing as I type this, with another 2 inches accumulating by 7 am.

On-mountain temperatures are in the upper teens, so dress like it's winter and not spring.

During the day on Friday, it's a good bet that there will be an additional 4-8 inches of snow, and the timing of the snow could be "all day" with conditions remaining soft and fun through last chair.

Friday Night & Saturday

On Friday night, the storm will wind down, with likely another 1-3 or 2-4 inches of snow on Friday late afternoon and Friday evening. Then the snow should end by about midnight.

On Saturday, plan for at least some new snow on the ground for first chair, with soft/fun/powdery conditions and a high temperature in the 20s. There will likely be some sunshine, so enjoy the new snow early before the late-April sunshine works it over.

Longer Range

Sunday's weather should be pretty darn good with a high temperature in the 30s and partly-to-mostly sunny skies.

Then, during the final two weeks of April, there could be showers around April 21-22 and maybe a slightly stronger storm around April 28-30.

And remember that the mountain will be open for a while longer, with the Winter Park side open through April 27 and the Mary Jane side open ALAP (As Late As Possible).
