Major systems tracking south but we’ll take Leftovers…

Summary

As of Thursday morning, 24-hour snow totals were highest in the northwest region West of the Divide where Turner Mountain picked up 8”, Lookout 5” and Whitefish 4”. Light snow will continue to fall today and tonight at these areas for another inch or two across the northwest. East of the Divide, high-pressure has finally moved out across the plains allowing a series of weak systems to affect mainly southwest Montana today and tonight. Big Sky could see 2-4” by Friday morning. Saturday into early next week will see slightly below average temperatures with a threat of snow showers daily through the period. We had hoped for something a bit bigger early next week but the trajectory of that system is looking to drive it well south of the Treasure State.
