Looking back, Tuesday started off with a steady snow shower that dropped 1-2 inches of fresh snow across Steamboat, then the rest of the day was mostly dry and mostly cloudy with a few snow showers on the upper mountain.

Looking ahead, the weather on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday should be dry with partly-to-mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low 30s.

The next chance for snow will extend from Friday evening through Saturday evening. Accumulations could reach a few inches, and Saturday will likely be the best day to ski fresh snow.

Sunday and Monday will return to dry weather, and then a storm will move close to Colorado next Monday night through Friday. If the storm moves directly across Colorado, then we’ll see moderate snow totals on Tuesday and Wednesday. If the storm takes a left turn and stalls to the southwest of Colorado, we might see dry weather through midweek with a chance for snow on Thursday and Friday. It’s too soon to know which of these scenarios, or another scenario, is more likely.
