Update

On Friday night, 7 inches accumulated at the summit snow stake camera, and the official report from mid-mountain is also 7 inches. This was a few inches above the high side of the forecast, and we'll take it!

Now on Saturday morning, you will find soft snow and a very cold temperature between about -5 at the summit and +10F at the base, and the temperature will not increase very much even as the snow showers end and you see some sunshine today. Dress warmly, and expect the new powder to ski a little slow and a little thick due to the cold temperature.

On Saturday night, the final storm in this cycle will bring snow through Sunday late morning with an additional 2-4 inches of accumulation. This final storm should keep the snow soft and fresh for Sunday morning, though the cold temperature will limit accumulations because the lack of moisture in this cold airmass will keep the snowflakes very small.

Looking further ahead, we’ll have dry weather from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday, with light snow possible on Wednesday (though the storm will likely track too far south to bring significant snow). After that, our next chance for snow will be next weekend, March 3-4.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
