Summary
It is the final week of daily operations at Snowbowl, then weekends into Memorial Day.
Short Term Forecast
A Pacific storm sits off the California coast into midweek, which will keep us under warm and windy southwest flow. Thursday the storm moves inland in a weakened state leading to much cooler temperatures, continued gusty winds along with chances for some light snow showers, even lightning. Friday winds finally relax through a cool and showery day. Weekend looks to be sunny and warmer.
Keep your eye on wind holds if your heading up. Sweet spot will be the 11-1 time frame before it gets a bit slushy late each afternoon. Cooler temperatures late week will lend to better conditions late in the day.
Was hoping this Thursday - Friday system would deliver a little fresh snow, but looks unlikely at this point, shame so much base still in tact.
Extended Forecast
No snow in the forecast.
