Update

Blue skies all around are already dominating the skies above Big Sky this morning with a chilly low temp of 5 in the base area. The sun will shine through the day with daytime highs of around 15 this afternoon (8000’). South winds will be light at 5-10mph with ridge top gusts up to 20mph by this afternoon. Saturday will deliver a mix of sun and a few more clouds with daytime highs around 20. A drastic change in the weather pattern appears to start on Sunday when an active NW flow will bring light snow with a possible 1-2” across Lone and Andesite mountains. Snow showers look to linger on Monday into Tuesday before a more robust system moves in for New Year’s Day through Thursday. I’ll be keeping you posted on the tracking of this first storm of the New Year…
