Strong Cold Front heading in today…

Update

The aftermath of a warm front is being felt this morning with a balmy 8am temperature of 28 degrees in the village. Blue skies with a stray cloud or two over Lone Mountain are also evident making it almost spring-like out there. The sun may hang around until noon-ish when a cold front will bring increasing clouds with strong W/SW winds 25-30mph with gusts up to 40mph and dropping temps back into the low 20’s (8000’) by last chair. Snow showers will also be a part of this drastic weather change with an optimistic 1-3” possible into Saturday evening. Sunday will see some clearing and decreasing winds but also a chance of a few snow showers through the afternoon hours with much colder daytime highs of 13-15 at 8000’. Ridging will develop Monday and looks to keep it mostly dry through Tuesday. Snow then is expected to return Wednesday into Friday.
