8AM Thursday Forecast Update

Update

5” overnight at the Challenger snow stake as of 8am Thursday and it’s still snowing lightly with a temp of 11 degrees in the village. Thursday will be noticeably colder with last night’s passing of the cold front with more snow showers and another 1-3” possible through the day with highs in the upper-teens at 8000’. Winds will be light to moderate at 10-15mph out of the west. Friday’s forecast looks to clear things out for a day with mostly sunny skies with slightly colder daytime temps with a high of 15 and light SW winds expected. Another small impulse arrives on Friday night that could trigger another round of light snowfall with a few inches expected. This weekend looks mainly cloudy with stray flurries and highs in the mid-teens at 8000’. Arctic air looks to move in next Monday.
