8AM Friday Update

Update

As of 8am Friday morning 3” have fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake with crystal clear skies and a temperature of -2 degrees in the village. Friday will be a cold but sunny day to ride/ski with highs around 15 at 8000’. Southwest winds will be moderate at 15-20mph with gusts up to 30mph (8000’). Another weak impulse arrives Friday night that could bring 2-4” overnight. This weekend looks to be mainly cloudy with a few scattered flurries on both days with highs in the mid-teens at 8000’.  Moderate SW winds will also be felt across the alpine.  Another small disturbance moves in Sunday night into Monday with a few inches possible. Frigid arctic air now looks to hold off its invasion until Tuesday into Wednesday.
