7AM Thursday Update

Update

As of 7am Thursday morning no new snow has fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake with cloudy skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 10 degrees in the village. Today expect cloudy skies throughout the day with warming temperatures delivering a whopping high temperature of around 27 at 8000’.  South winds will be around again in the 15-20mph range with gusts up to 35mph possible up high. An upper level low-pressure system is still expected to move in tonight and into the day on Friday bringing light snow and a cumulative 2-4” along with falling temps to around 10 degrees by last chair Friday. The MLK weekend looks dry with mostly cloudy skies Saturday with more sunny breaks on Sunday and seasonal daytime highs ranging from 20 to 25 degrees at 8000’. High-pressure builds for the first part of next week keeping the sun shining on MLK Day Monday with slightly warmer temps.
