8am Friday Pow Update

Update

As of 8am Friday morning 5” of new snow has fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake with light snow still falling and a temperature of 19 degrees in the village. Today expect light snow into the early afternoon with an additional 2-4” likely with a high temperature of around 20 at 8000’.  Winds will be out of the Northwest at 15-20mph with gusts up to 30mph possible on the alpine and ridge tops. The MLK weekend looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday with clear skies on Sunday and seasonal daytime highs ranging from 20 (Sat.) to 25 (Sun.) degrees at 8000’. High-pressure builds for the first part of next week keeping the sun shining on MLK Monday into Tuesday with slightly warmer temps.
