Tuesday Sun

Update

At 7:30am Tuesday morning a windblown 2 inches of new snow has fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake (6” in last 24 hours) with semi-clearing skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 7 degrees in the village. For today expect a rogue flurry or two this morning before the sun emerges before noon, albeit with a few clouds thrown in and a high temperature of 19 degrees at 8000’. Light to moderate West winds of 8-12mph with gusts up to 20mph will be felt on the ridge tops.

Wednesday and Thursday will offer a mix of mostly clouds, some snow showers and a stray sunny break each day with daytime highs both days in the upper 20’s (at 8000’). Friday is looking to be a full on sunny day with high temps at 8000’ creeping above the freezing mark in the afternoon. Clouds return on Saturday with a chance of snow showers by later in the day. Saturday night and Sunday light snow may bring light accumulations but it’s still a tad early for details on this next system.
