March Rolls In Chilly…

Update

At 8am Sunday morning around 2 inches has fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake with overcast skies and snow flurries over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 9 degrees in the village. For today expect cloudy skies and flurries through the morning with semi-clearing skies and sunny spells by early afternoon with a high temperature of 18 degrees at 8000’. Light North winds of 10mph with gusts up to 20mph will be present today on the ridge tops and alpine areas.

The sun sticks around briefly on Monday before clouds increase during the afternoon hours with highs in the mid 20’s. For Tuesday expect a mix of clouds, flurries and sun with a high around 32. Snow showers will be in the forecast Wednesday morning with no accumulations expected. A warming trend with sunny skies and daytime highs in the mid to upper 30’s (8000’) will be the story for Thursday and Friday. Watching a potential snow maker for next weekend, I’ll keep you posted.
