Snowy Saturday

Summary

A Pacific low pressure is on track to bring 3-6” to the mountain through the day Saturday and into Saturday night. Things clear out slowly on Sunday with a mix of cloudy skies and a few morning snow flurries. High-pressure builds Monday and dries things out into Wednesday.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 22 degrees in the Village and 20 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Skies are currently cloudy with light snow falling over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. A skiff has registered on the Andesite snow stake. Currently at the top of Andesite winds are 5mph out of the SW with a gust of 17mph.     

For today expect light snow to continue with 2-4” likely by last chair. High temperatures at 8900’ this afternoon will be around 21 degrees. South/SW winds will be light to moderate at 15mph with ridge top gusts to 30mph.

Extended Forecast:

Snow showers continue Saturday night with another 1-3” possible by Sunday morning. Sunday will be a transitionary period with clouds, morning flurries, colder temps (high of 17 at 8800’) along with a few afternoon sunny spells. Things look to fully clear out on Monday for a clear and crisp winter day. Expect the sun and cold temps to hang around and keep conditions fresh for Tuesday and Wednesday before unsettled weather returns Thursday and Friday.
