Summary

Roughly 6” fell over the last 24-hours on both Lone and Andesite Mountains. Besides a few morning snow flurries, skies will be slowly clearing through the morning hours with sunny skies into the afternoon. High-pressure strengthens Monday and dries things out into Wednesday.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 20 degrees in the Village and 13 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Skies are currently cloudy with light snow flurries falling over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. About 3” fell overnight, with a 24-hour storm total of 6”.  Currently at the top of Andesite winds are 10mph out of the West with gusts in the last hour of 20mph.     

For today expect clearing skies through the morning hours with partly sunny skies likely from noon through last chair. High temperatures at 8900’ this afternoon will be around 17 degrees. West winds will be light at 10mph with ridge top gusts to 20mph.

Extended Forecast:

High-pressure reigns on Monday for a clear and crisp winter day. Expect the sun and cold temps (afternoon highs at 8900’ around 15) to hang around and keep conditions fresh for Tuesday and Wednesday before unsettled weather returns Thursday. Things look to clear out for a sunny New Year’s Day (Friday).
