Clear and Crisp

Summary

High-pressure strengthens Monday for a windless bluebird kind of day with a high temperature of 21 degrees at 8900’. A weak Canadian cold front enters the region Monday night brining a few clouds and colder temps. Snow returns Wednesday night into Thursday with a few inches possible.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s -1 degrees in the Village and 7 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Skies are currently clear over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. Currently at the top of Andesite winds are calm.

For today expect clear and sunny skies through the day. High temperatures at 8900’ this afternoon will rise to around 21 degrees. South winds will be light at 10mph this morning switching over to light NW winds in the afternoon.  

Extended Forecast:

A weak Canadian cold front will enter the region Monday night increasing cloud cover with the main impact being colder temps. Expect a mostly cloudy day on Tuesday with a few afternoon sunny spells and cold temps with afternoon highs at 8900’ around 12.  Mostly sunny skies return on Wednesday (but still cold) before unsettled weather returns Thursday. Things look to partially clear out for a partly sunny New Year’s Day (Friday) and Saturday. Snow returns on Sunday likely.
