Coming Attractions: Two Storms On Track

Summary

Monday morning is looking up with a nice 2” overnight refresher. A mix of clouds and flurries with moderate S/SW winds will be the rest of the story. Our next storm system is still on for Monday night into Tuesday with 4-6” possible. Another wave Wednesday night into Thursday could bring and additional 3-5”. 2021 is feeling pretty good so far…

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 13 degrees in the Village and 18 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). 2” of new snow fell overnight. Skies are currently partly cloudy over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. South/SE winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 4mph with gusts to 10mph.  

Today expect a mix of clouds and sunny breaks until around noon when the skies fully cloud up. A few flurries may be seen during the afternoon. Moderate South/SW winds will be blowing at 20mph with gusts to 35mph across those wind prone areas like Headwaters. High temperatures at 8900’ this afternoon will be around 27 degrees.

Extended Forecast:

Accumulating snow returns on Monday night into Tuesday morning with 4-6” possible before noon Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon looks to be a mix of sun and clearing clouds. Another break on Wednesday with partly sunny skies before another area of low-pressure invades for Wednesday night into Thursday with 3-5” possible. High-pressure then builds in for a dry and sunny Friday and Saturday.
