Time for Thursday Freshies

Summary

Overnight snowfall at the Headwaters snow stake (webcam) shows between 3 and 4 inches at 7AM and it’s still coming down at a moderate clip. Expect another 1-3” across the resort today with snow tapering to showers by afternoon. High-pressure builds in Friday and looks to keep things dry through the weekend at least.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 21 degrees in the Village and 19 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Between 3-4” of snow fell overnight at the Andesite and Lone mountains snow stakes. Skies are currently cloudy with moderate snow falling over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. South/SW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing lightly at 4mph with gusts to 12mph.

Today expect snow through the morning with an additional 1-3” possible. Snow tapers to flurries this afternoon with a high temperature (at 8900’) of 21 degrees. South/SW winds will be blowing at 10-15mph with gusts to 25mph this morning switching over to West/NW in the afternoon.

Extended Forecast:

A bit of a dry-out is (unfortunately) in store for the next 5-days as a strong ridge of high-pressure builds into the region bringing back sunny forecasts for Friday through next Tuesday. Daytime high temps (at 8900’) will stick around the 20 degrees mark over the weekend warming a few more degrees early next week.
