Simply Sunny Sunday

Summary

A chilly morning followed by mostly sunny skies with light winds with pleasant upper mountain high temperatures of around 20 is the Sunday story. Hit repeat for Monday too. A westerly flow looks to develop early next week bringing a weak storm through the region on Wednesday and Wednesday night with a few inches possible.

Update

Today:

 At 7:00AM it’s 3 degrees in the Village and 15 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). No new snow fell in the last 24-hours. Skies are currently clear over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. West/SW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing lightly at 4mph.  

Today expect mostly sunny skies with a high temperature (at 8900’) of 21 degrees. West/SW winds will be blowing lightly to around 10 mph.   

Extended Forecast:

Another day of sunny skies and mild temps is in store for Monday. Daytime high temps (at 8900’) will rise to around 26 degrees. After a partly sunny morning, clouds increase Tuesday afternoon with continued mild daytime temps with a high of 27 degrees. A westerly flow aloft will transport our next system into the region Wednesday afternoon with snow showers continuing into Wednesday night. Weather models hint at accumulations of anywhere from 1 to 3 inches. High pressure then rebuilds for dry skies Thursday and Friday.
