Summary
Clouds have arrived in advance of our next weather system. Look for clouds to keep increasing through the day with flurries possible by 2pm. Tonight, light snow could bring an inch by Wednesday morning. The brunt of the storm will hit Wednesday with 2-4” by days end. Gusty SW winds to 50mph will also be part of Wednesday’s wild weather. Thursday through Saturday look dry with sunny skies.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 16 degrees in the Village and 25 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Skies are currently cloudy over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. South winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 6mph with gusts to 17mph.
Today expect mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature (at 8900’) of 30 degrees. There is a slight chance of flurries developing by mid-afternoon. SW winds will be blowing pretty good at 25 mph with gusts to 35mph up on the ridge tops.
Extended Forecast:
A SW flow aloft will transport our next system into the region on Wednesday morning with periods of snow through the day with 2-4” possible. Winds will be a big player with this storm. National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Wednesday for SW winds of 35mph with gusts to 50mph possible across the high terrain. Warm daytime temps will plummet to the mid-teens by last chair Wednesday. High pressure then rebuilds for dry skies Thursday through Saturday. Still watching the chance of a weak disturbance moving through the area on Sunday. MLK Day on Monday looks to be a dry one.
