Summary

2 inches of fresh creamy snow fell overnight which really will make a difference in slope refreshment. Besides that, it’s another bluebird morning and looks to be a mostly sunny day with mild temps and light winds. The big snow is on the way for Sunday and MLK Monday with potentials of 8-12” of snow through Monday afternoon. A sunny break on Tuesday is followed by unsettled skies on Wednesday.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 21 degrees in the Village and 17 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). 2 inches of new snow was reported in the last 24-hours. Skies are currently clear over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. West/NW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 10mph with gusts to 17mph.  

Today expect a mostly sunny day with a mid/upper mountain high of 21 degrees at 8900’. West winds of 10mph with ridge top gusts to 20mph.  

Extended Forecast:

Late Sunday morning a potent storm system will encroach into the region with snow starting by noon continuing through the afternoon with 2-4” by last chair. Snow continues, heavy at times Sunday night with an additional 4-6” possible. Snow continues for MLK Monday with another 2-4” possible. Skies partially clear out for a dry Tuesday before another system moves into the region on Wednesday.
