Summary
Some below zero temps have made a return to the lower mountain this morning under crispy clear skies. Expect another cold day today with highs around 10 above across the alpine areas but with lots of sun to go around. Snow returns Friday with 1 to 3 inches likely through last chair. The weekend looks mainly dry and cold with some flurries Saturday and a full on sunny Sunday.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 4 degrees below zero in the Village and 4 degrees above zero at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. No new snow was reported in the last 24 hours. Currently the skies are clear over Lone and Andesite mountains. At Andesite Mountain at 8800’ winds are currently blowing out of the S/SW at 4 mph with a recent gust to 11 mph.
Today expect another chilly day with a mix of sunny skies and occasional high clouds. Mountain high temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 10 degrees. Winds will be light, blowing out of the North at 5 to 10 mph.
Extended Forecast:
A weakening storm system rides through late Thursday night and into Friday bringing light snow with 1 to 3 inches likely through the daytime hours. Cloudy skies with persistent snow flurries look to be the forecast for Saturday with continued cold daytime temps with a high of 12 above at 9000’. Sunny skies look to be on tap for Sunday along with slightly warmer daytime temps with a high near 20 across the upper terrain. A mix of sun, clouds and occasional flurries now look to be on tap for Monday and Tuesday.
