Summary
Brief high-pressure builds back Sunday for a mostly sunny and slightly colder day than Saturday. Clouds will be on the increase Monday with light snow starting during the mid to late afternoon hours. Several waves of energy on a SW flow will move across the region Monday night through Tuesday night bringing doses of 2 to 3 inches each time. Storms totals by Wednesday AM could approach 8 inches.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 24 degrees in the Village and 18 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. 1 inch of new snow fell in the past 24-hours. Currently the skies are mostly clear over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the South at 7 mph with a recent gust to 13 mph.
Today expect mostly sunny skies and colder daytime temperatures. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 30 degrees. Winds will be blowing out of the South/SW at 10 to 15 mph with afternoon gusts to 20 mph.
Extended Forecast:
Monday, clouds increase along with SW winds as the next system arrives during the late afternoon hours with a few flurries. Monday night, light snow with 2 to 4 inches likely by first chair Tuesday. Snow will continue into Tuesday with another 1 to 3 inches possible with a high of 23 at 9000’. W/SW winds will be moderate. Snow showers continue Tuesday night and Wednesday with 1 to 2 inches possible. High-pressure is now expected to build in for another string of sunny days Thursday through Saturday.
