Wednesday-Thursday Snow Favors Whistler, Coast Range

Summary

Heavy snow will pick up again across the Coast Range on Wednesday afternoon and continue through Thursday, with all-day Thursday and first chair on Friday offering the best times to ski/ride powder. Additional snow amounts Wednesday through Thursday night of 30-70 cm (12-28”) can be expected for areas such as Whistler and Mt. Washington. For the Interior, Revelstoke is already enjoying outstanding powder conditions from early week snowfall. For most other areas in the Interior, the heaviest snow will fall from Thursday night through Saturday night, with all-day Friday and Saturday, and first chair on Sunday, being the best times to ski/ride powder. Total snow amounts from Thursday night-Sunday morning will range from 40-100 cm (16-40”) across the Kootenay and Lizard Range areas (Whitewater, Red, Fernie) and 17-55 cm (7-22”) across the North Columbia and East Purcell regions (Revelstoke, Kicking Horse).
