Powder Tuesday

Summary

Tuesday is a big powder day across the board for all but the Coastal areas below 1,500 meters. Snow totals over the previous 24 hours, ending Tuesday morning, ranged from 10-28 cm (4-11”) for most areas except for the North Columbia/East Purcell, and additional snow Tuesday through Tuesday night will range from 20-60 cm (8-24”) for most areas. Storm skiing conditions are in full effect! Light snow will linger across the Interior on Wednesday with first chair offering more deep turns before a break in the pattern occurs on Thursday. The next storm will then bring moderate to heavy snow to most areas on Friday, especially across Coastal BC, with last chair Friday and first chair Saturday offering the deepest turns. Confidence is low on Sunday-Tuesday’s pattern due to poor model consensus, but the overall trend heading into next week will be colder and drier.
