Late week storm to favor Southern and Eastern Interior

Summary

Many areas are enjoying a nice powder day on Wednesday following Tuesday’s storm. Lingering light snow will taper off across the Interior by Wednesday afternoon and into early Thursday, then light snow will re-develop from Thursday afternoon into Thursday night ahead of an approaching arctic front. This front will usher in unseasonably cold air (for mid-March) on Friday and into the weekend. Meanwhile, the next storm will spread snow into portions of southern and eastern BC from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, with the Southern Interior and Southeast Purcells in the best position to pick up respectable snow. Following this storm, we’re going to enter a prolonged dry spell from about March 15th-22nd, and possibly longer.
