BIG Change to a Cold and Snowy Pattern
Summary
A subarctic cold front has begun to spread cold air and numerous flurries from north to south across the Alberta Rockies on this first day of spring (Weds). A shortwave moving out of BC will enhance snowfall Weds night into Thurs. This, along with favorable upslope winds behind the cold front will continue bringing periods of light snow into Friday. Deep storm totals of 20 – 40cm for most resorts.
