SNOW is in the forecast late this weekend with a sharp cool down over the northern Rockies

Summary

Colder air and below freezing temps will impact a large portion of Montana and northern Wyoming late this weekend. Moisture will be falling in most areas by mid day Sunday. Your Monday morning wake up call will hint at light snow above 8,000 feet favoring southern Montana and northern Wyoming. Expect 2-4 inches in many upper elevation resorts with higher amounts possible at the summits. Another cool down is possible late next weekend. Its all going to melt by mid week but nevertheless its snow and a good reminder that Fall is around the corner. It's been a hot-dry summer so any relief is welcoming.
