Best chance of snow on Tuesday night

Summary

Monday will be dry with clouds filtering the sunshine and warm temperatures rising into the 30s. Tuesday will bring light snow to the far southern mountains will most other areas staying dry. Then Tuesday night will be our best chance for snow with moderate accumulations in the southern mountains and light accumulations elsewhere. Christmas morning (Wednesday) should be the best time to find powder this week with 5-10 inches in the south and 1-5 inches for the central and northern mountains. Snow showers could continue on Wednesday and Thursday with light or little accumulations. Then on Friday into Saturday, a storm will track just south of Colorado and we’ll need to watch this closely because the southern or eastern mountains could see anything from just a few flakes to deep powder.
