Snow through Thursday, another storm next week

Summary

On Tuesday morning, snow began in the southern mountains and the best snow there should be on Tuesday. The central and northern mountains will see snow on Wednesday into Thursday morning. All of these areas should measure about 4-8 inches. From Thursday into Friday, additional snow may fall in the northern mountains with soft/powder conditions continuing. The weekend should be mostly dry, then our next chance for snow will be from Monday, January 27 through about Wednesday, January 29th. Looking far ahead, a snowy weather pattern could develop in early-to-mid February.
