Update

The official snow total from the storm on Thursday night and Friday morning was 3 inches. I hope you were able to end your week with soft turns in the new snow!

This weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, weak energy and moisture will move over the northern mountains of Colorado (where Copper is located), and this will likely mean partly cloudy skies with times of snow showers and perhaps very light accumulations (a coating to an inch). The best chance to see snow will be on Saturday night and Sunday. High temperatures this weekend should be in the mid-20s.

Early next week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be dry and high temperatures will warm to the mid-to-upper 30s.

The next storm should bring snow on Wednesday night and Thursday (January 31 - February 1). The trend in the forecast is to weaken this storm, and the best chance to ski a few inches of freshies will be on Thursday.

After that, from Friday, February 2, through Friday, February 9, I think we’ll see at least a few days with snow, but I don’t know the details yet. It might be light snow for the first few days, followed by a stronger storm later in the period. That’s still 6-15 days away, so there will be many changes in the forecast.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
