Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Monday was a powder day with 4 inches of fluffy snow from Sunday night and another 2 inches accumulated during the day. I hope that you enjoyed it!

On Monday night, most clouds cleared the area which allowed temperatures to quickly cool.

Now on Tuesday morning, the temperature is around 0°F on the hill. We should warm into the teens by midday and early afternoon and the day should be mostly sunny and dry.

From Wednesday morning through Wednesday night, we’ll see another storm bring clouds and light snow. Let's go with a coating-to-3 inches of accumulation during this time. There will be decently-strong energy in the atmosphere to help create snow, but moisture will be limited and this should keep accumulations to just a few inches unless we get lucky and a narrow band of intense snow happens to hit the mountain.

Following the storm, Thursday should be mostly dry with maybe a few snow showers lingering in the morning and temperatures warming into the low 20s by the afternoon. Friday will be dry, sunny, and warmer with temperatures rising into the mid-to-upper 20s.

Our next chances for snow will be on Friday night into Saturday morning, then from Sunday through Tuesday, and then around Friday, February 21st. The storm with the best potential to bring powder is the Sunday through Tuesday system, so I am keeping a close eye on that one.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
