Update

Monday was a fun powdery morning and we saw another inch of snow accumulate during the day.

On Monday night, a fast-moving storm dropped 2 inches on the mid-mountain snow stake. This means that Tuesday morning will offer freshies, and dress warmly because temperatures are hovering in the single digits above zero.

For Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we should see mostly dry weather, mixed sky cover with times of clouds and times of sunshine, and comfortable daytime temperatures with a high from the upper teens to the low 20s each day. There will be a storm moving through northern and eastern Colorado on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and we might be able to squeak out an inch or two of snow if we’re lucky. I’ll let you know if this storm deserves more of our attention.

We will end the week on Friday with calm weather, sunny skies, and warmer temperatures rising into the upper 20s to low 30s.

Saturday and Sunday will likely be dry and partly sunny. Expect high temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s for both days. A storm will be moving through southern Colorado over the weekend and it appears that snow will stay to the south of us. If the storm jogs a bit farther to the north, we could see some flakes.

Looking ahead to next week, we will see a storm arrive around Monday, February 24th and this system should bring snow for a least a few days. It’s good to see that the powder should return soon.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
