Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
Wednesday was sunny with temperatures in the teens to low 20s, and then we saw clouds and snow showers late in the afternoon.
On Wednesday night, a weak storm brought a few hours of snow and we got lucky with 3 inches falling on the mid-mountain snow stake camera. Enjoy the soft freshies on top of the groomers now on Thursday morning!
On Thursday and Friday, expect mostly sunny skies and dry weather. The mornings will start cold with temperatures near 0°F but the sunshine will warm us into the 20s on Thursday and into the 30s on Friday.
Saturday will start dry and partly sunny, then the next storm will bring snow from Saturday night through Sunday. While the track of this storm will favor the mountains of southern Colorado, the system should push precipitation far enough north so that we’ll see at least a few inches of snow. There will likely be a streak of deeper accumulations somewhere close by, and if we get lucky, perhaps we’ll measure more than 6 inches. The best chance to enjoy the soft snow should be on Sunday morning through midday.
On Sunday night into Monday, snow showers could hang around as the weekend storm departs and winds switch to blow from the west or northwest, so keep an eye on Monday morning which might offer soft turns and fluffier snow (thanks to cooling temperatures).
For next week, another storm will bring snow from Monday through Wednesday. With consistent snow for four days (Sunday through Wednesday), it’s likely that conditions early next week will be very soft, and with some luck, one or more days will be true powder days with deeper accumulations.
Following the Monday through Wednesday system, we will likely see dry weather during the final few days of February, and the next chance for a storm could be on or around Monday, March 2nd.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
