Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Fresh snow on Sunday morning at Copper
Summary
We saw snow from Saturday late afternoon through Saturday night with a total of 2 inches across the mountain as of Sunday morning.
Short Term Forecast
Sunday morning’s snow total is 2 inches at mid-mountain with almost all of this snow falling after lifts closed on Saturday afternoon. This total was below the low end of our 4-8 forecast range as the intense band of snow on Saturday evening did not produce as much snow as I thought it would. Still, we should enjoy some soft turns on Sunday morning.
During Sunday and Monday, we’ll likely see clouds stick around with a few snow showers, and we should also see some breaks of sunshine. On Tuesday we should see warmer and sunnier weather with highs in the 20s.
From later Tuesday through Wednesday night, the next storm will bring a few snow showers, but it looks like the most snow will fall over southeastern Colorado and leave us with just light accumulations.
Extended Forecast
Thursday should be dry.
From Friday through Sunday, February 26-28, we will have a chance for snow, though I have very low confidence in how this storm, or storms, will play out. As with most longer-range forecasts of one week or more, it is best to keep expectations low and we’ll figure out the details as soon as we can.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
