A break in the snow for Copper

Summary

Monday and Tuesday will be dry, then we’ll see light snow on Wednesday night with a better chance for accumulating snow on Friday.

Short Term Forecast

Sunday offered a few inches of soft snow that fell on Saturday night plus light snow showers during the day.

Now on Monday morning, low clouds are blocking most sunshine and these low clouds could stick around for most of the day.

On Tuesday, the low clouds will be gone, we’ll see a lot of sunshine, and temperatures should be comfortable with highs in the mid-to-upper 20s.

On Wednesday, we should again see dry weather with a decent amount of sunshine. Then on Wednesday night, a storm will take an unfavorable track far to the south and we should see a chance for just light snow with accumulations ranging from a dusting to a few inches if we are very fortunate.

On Thursday, we will flip back to dry and sunny weather.

Extended Forecast

From Friday through Sunday, February 26 to March 1, a storm will take a track around Colorado rather than through Colorado. Having the storm track around Colorado is not great news as this means we will likely see just light snowfall.

With that could-have-been-better news aside, we will still see snowflakes and there could be a few inches of snow on Friday, with additional snow at some point over the weekend or into Monday, March 1st. We will dial in the forecast soon as we gain a little more confidence on the exact track of the storm.
