Tuesday was a mostly sunny and gorgeous day with a period of clouds that moved in during the early evening. These clouds actually delivered flakes and about an inch of accumulation at mid-mountain, which was a surprise!

Today on Wednesday will start with sunny skies, and then we’ll see more clouds cover the sky later in the day.

On Wednesday night, a storm will bring the most snow to eastern Colorado. Even with an unfavorable wind from the east, this system could still bring a coating to a couple of inches of snow with low-end powder possible on Thursday morning. I am keeping my expectations low because the best wind direction for snow is from the west-northwest and northwest and not from the east.

Thursday should be a dry and sunny day with temperatures in the teens to low 20s.

I wish I could provide more details about the storm from Friday, February 26 to Monday, March 1. 

All I can say right now is that our best chance for snow should be between Friday afternoon and Saturday night and accumulations should be at least a few inches and perhaps 6+ inches if a few of the pieces of this storm come together perfectly. 

My recommendation is to target Saturday, February 27 as the day when there could be the softest snow, but, please keep your expectations low until we have more confidence in the forecast.
