Copper Mountain Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 3 years ago April 4, 2021
More clouds on Sunday at Copper, then snow on Tuesday night
Summary
Sunday will be warm with more clouds. Monday will be warm with more sunshine. Then Tuesday will be cooler with snow into Wednesday.
Short Term Forecast
Saturday was a picture-perfect spring day with full sunshine and very warm temperatures that rose into the low 50s on the hill.
Sunday will also be warm, but more clouds during the day could make temperatures just a bit cooler than Saturday. Also, there could be a few raindrops or snowflakes from weak, passing showers on Sunday afternoon and evening.
Monday will be the final warm, dry, and sunny day of this springtime stretch. Enjoy it!
On Tuesday, expect cooler temperatures with highs in the 30s, gusty winds, and some snowflakes in the air.
The most likely time for accumulating snow will be Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning. We might see 1-4 inches of snowfall during this time, and this snow could produce a little bit of surfy powder on Wednesday morning.
Extended Forecast
Between Thursday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 13, one or two storms could come near Colorado, but our weather should be mostly dry with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
Then between Wednesday, April 14, and Saturday, April 17, a few of the longer-range forecast models point to a high chance for significant snowfall in Colorado. I will be watching these days closely to see if the storm will come to fruition and bring us late-season powder.
