It snowed, but not very much
Summary
The storm did drop some flakes on Sunday night, but the amount of new snow is low.
Update
Sunday was a mostly cloudy and warm day, then as expected, snow arrived on Sunday night.
But, the snow that arrived did not amount to much, just about a dusting at mid-mountain, and well below my expectation for 2-5 inches. This storm was never set up in a way to deliver a lot of snow to Copper, but some models did show a decent bit of snow in the initial wave of energy that moved through on Sunday night. That just didn't happen.
On Monday, we could see snow showers with some more accumulation, but my expectation is for just light amounts of additional snow. High temperatures should be in the 20s.
On Tuesday, there will be snow showers from late morning through the late evening and this could deliver anything from a dusting to a few inches of new snow. Temperatures will be chilly with highs in the teens.
From Wednesday to Sunday, we'll see dry and mostly sunny weather with warming temperatures each day. The highs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday should be in the 30s, and highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 40s. This weekend will feel like full-on spring skiing.
Our next chances for snow will be around March 28-29 and again around April 1-2, but those storms are too far away for us to speculate about snow totals. For now, enjoy the spring skiing coming up, and we'll see if we can sneak out a few more powder days later this month and into April.
Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
