Calming down

Summary

Tuesday was very windy with a bit of snow. The rest of the week will trend toward calmer weather.

Update

Tuesday was a very windy day with gusts of 50-70mph at the summit. We also saw about 1 inch of snow during the day and another 1 inch of snow on Tuesday night, but the wind was the big story.

Now on Wednesday morning, the sun is coming out, temperatures are chilly in the single digits and teens, and winds are still strong at the summit, but not as fast as Tuesday.

During the day on Wednesday, expect partly sunny skies, high temperatures in the teens to low 20s, and still some gusty summit winds that could affect lift operations.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be calmer and warmer with a high in the 20s to low 30s on Thursday, a high in the 30s on Friday, and a high in the 40s on Saturday.

Looking ahead, a slow-moving storm will affect our weather from Sunday through most days next week. We could see showers as early as Sunday, though our best chance for snow will be around Tuesday and Wednesday, and either of these days could be powder days. It'll be something to watch!
