Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Powder Tuesday and maybe beyond
Summary
Monday will be mostly dry, then a strong storm will bring snow on Tuesday with snow showers continuing through Wednesday night.
Update
Sunday was a winter-like day with 3-4 inches of fresh snow on the ground and a chilly atmosphere with temperatures in the 20s and gusty winds at the summit.
Now on Monday morning, the snow stake is dry, but that will look a lot different in a day.
Following dry weather on Monday and early Monday night, snow will begin around sunrise on Tuesday morning and will be intense from Tuesday morning into midday. Snow should continue to fall on Tuesday afternoon, though it may not be as intense as Tuesday morning. Total snowfall on Tuesday should be in the 5-9 inch range, so conditions will be somewhat soft during first chair and get softer and deeper through the day.
From Tuesday night through Wednesday night, snow showers will bring additional accumulations, and there will also be periods of dry weather. This is the most uncertain part of the storm, so I am keeping my expectations on the lower side, though just a few inches of additional snow on Tuesday night, Wednesday, and again on Wednesday night would make conditions pretty darn soft and might (might) cover up the hard base. Keep your eye on the snow stake cam on Tuesday night through Wednesday night to see if there will be a high-side surprise.
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we'll transition to drier weather. Temperatures will warm during these days, winding up with highs in the 30s on Friday and Saturday.
