Sunny Sunday, chilly next week
Summary
Sunday will be warm and dry, then during the upcoming week, we'll see cool temperatures and times of light snow.
Update
Saturday was a warm-ish day with a high temperature of about 30 degrees, and skies were partly cloudy with high-altitude, thin clouds covering the sky from time to time.
Now on Sunday morning, skies are clear and temperatures are in the teens and low 20s on the upper mountain and in the single digits on the lower mountain.
Sunday will be another warm-ish day with a high temperature of around 30 degrees and mostly sunny skies.
Opening day is on Monday, November 14!
For the week ahead, we'll see chilly temperatures with a high in the teens each day, and there will be times of light snow.
The first chance for light snow will be Sunday night into Monday morning, the second chance for light snow will be from Monday night to Tuesday night, and the third chance for light snow will be from Thursday night through Saturday.
Snowfall during each of these time periods should be light due to a lack of moisture in the air, so just a dusting to an inch or two of accumulation, though maybe we'll get lucky and see just a bit more than these low expectations.
Aside from the snow, though, the main story for this week will be the chilly temperatures which will allow for extensive snowmaking and perhaps additional open terrain.
Looking at the longer-range forecast, Sunday, November 20 through Thanksgiving should be warmer with highs in the 30s and the weather should be dry as storminess will likely stay to our west, closer to the west coast.
Then starting just after Thanksgiving, we should see an increased chance for snow during the final 3-5 days of November when the west-coast storminess moves to the east, into the Rockies and Colorado.
