Warm on Wednesday, snow arrives by Thursday afternoon

Summary

Like Tuesday, Wednesday will be a classic spring skiing day with warm temperatures and partly sunny skies. Then a storm will bring snow from Thursday afternoon to Friday evening.

Update

Tuesday was gorgeous, with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures that topped out around 30°F.

Wednesday will be another fantastic day of spring skiing with a high temperature in the 30s, partly sunny skies, and some high clouds filtering the sunshine.

Thursday will be a mixed day with dry weather during the morning and midday and then snow arriving during the afternoon with maybe a little accumulation by the time of the last chair.

Thursday night should deliver steady snow with 2-5 inches of accumulation by Friday morning's first chair.

Friday will be the wildcard day as snow showers will continue. We may see 3-6 inches of additional accumulation and the possibility of an upside surprise of 6+ inches due to a favorable temperature for fluffy snowflakes to form and a favorable wind from the west or west-northwest which some high-resolution models show could deliver a surprisingly high accumulation around Copper.

Friday night could bring a few additional inches of fluffy accumulation before the storm ends between midnight and Saturday morning.

Saturday morning should offer soft conditions due to Friday's snow and any accumulation from Friday night, and the day should be sunny and dry with a high of around 30°F.

Sunday will also be dry with a high temperature of about 30°F, then the next storm should bring snow early next week with the best chance for powder likely around Tuesday, April 4th.
