Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago December 26, 2014
So, so close. An area of heavy snow just missed Copper to the west on Thursday night, so the total snowfall from the current storm is just an inch. If we had a little more luck, there could have been a foot. Oh well - previous storms have been kind to Copper, so we can't luck out all of time. For Friday, we might get lucky and get a bit of that heavier snow band in the morning, then look for scattered snow showers with bursts of heavy snow in the afternoon followed by breaks of sun. A few inches of show should fall during the day, especially during the afternoon. Clouds should partially clear overnight, then Saturday should be dry. Light snow will return on Sunday and continue through Tuesday, then I think the days around New Years will be dry, and then another storm is likely for the first weekend of 2015. If' you're planning to ski from now through the next week, check the temperatures and dress warm as highs will only be in the single digits to low teens. Yay for winter!
