Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Happy New Year, folks! We'll start 2015 with a tweener of a day as it'll start sunny and then end up with a few more clouds and perhaps a flurry. Temperatures at mid mountain will be around 20F, though colder air trapped in the valley could make the base temperature colder than this.

Friday will be partly to mostly sunny, and then we'll have chances for snow from late Friday night through Tuesday morning. The best accumulations will likely come on Saturday when 3-6 inches could fall. I have low confidence in the forecast after Saturday, but we might see a few more inches Saturday night, Sunday, Sunday night, and Monday as well. It's tough to pin down a full-on powder day within this timeframe, and my best estimate at this point is that the mountain could ski nicely on Saturday with fresh snow falling and again on Sunday morning with some powder leftovers. I should have a better handle on the forecast by Friday 1/2, so stay tuned. In the longer range, the middle of next week will be dry, then our next storm is likely between Friday, January 9 to Sunday, January 11.
