Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

We had tons of moisture in the air at Copper on Thursday night and Friday, but not enough energy to lift the air and create snow. That will change by mid morning on Saturday as the winds should switch to a more favorable direction (from the west and northwest). I'm forecasting 1-3 inches of snow during the day on Saturday, though we could see more if the atmosphere is in a giving mood. On Saturday night, I think we'll experience just a few remaining snow showers or flurries with little accumulation, but, keep an eye on webcams because a piece of energy coming down from the northwest might bring more snow than this, if we're lucky.

Sunday should be a dry day, then we'll see chances for snow from Sunday night through Thursday (February 5th). Right now I'm thinking that total accumulations during this time will be around six inches, but this is a tough forecast. If the storm track shifts a bit north, we'll see less snow. If it shifts just a bit south, we'll see more. Stay tuned for updates.
