Light snow on Sunday, and more this week

Summary

Multiple storms will bring periods of snow on Sunday and from Tuesday to Thursday.

Update

Saturday

Saturday was a gorgeous day with fresh snow in the morning and bluebird skies during the day. It doesn't get much better than that!

Sunday

Sunday will be a mixed day with dry weather early in the morning, followed by snow showers throughout the day with light accumulations by the midday/afternoon/evening hours. Maybe we'll see a coating to 2 inches of snow by the time the storm passes us on Sunday evening. The high temperature on Sunday should be in the low 20s.

Monday

Monday will be dry. There might be some soft snow in the morning from the snowflakes that fell later on Sunday afternoon. Skies will be partly sunny and the high temperature should be around 30°F.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

A series of storms will move across Colorado. I have low confidence in the forecast details and we could see anything from 1-3 inches up to 5-10 inches. At the lower end, the flakes will give us a bit of a refresh at times with the best chance for softer snow being on Thursday and/or Friday morning. At the higher end, we might have some powder to enjoy on Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday morning. The high temperature on Tuesday and Wednesday will be around 30°F and the high on Thursday will be a little colder, in the low-20s.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday should all bring dry weather and partly sunny skies. Depending on what happens on Thursday night, we might have some powder to enjoy on Friday morning. Friday's high will be in the low 20s, then Saturday and Sunday will be warmer with a high near 30°F.

Longer Range

I have pretty high confidence that there will be a strong storm early next week, around Monday, February 26 to Wednesday, February 28. One or multiple of these days could be powder days, and we'll figure out the details when the storm is a little closer.

My next update will be Monday morning.
