Copper Mountain Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 7 months ago April 8, 2024
Mostly dry this week, likely stormy next week
Summary
We'll switch back into spring mode for most of the week, and then we may return to winter mode next week.
Update
Sunday
Sunday was dry and partly sunny. Winds at the summit were much slower compared to Saturday, and the high temperature reached the mid-20s.
Monday through Saturday
From Monday through Saturday, we should see dry and mostly sunny weather most of the time. Our best chances for snow will be on Monday night when snow showers could reach as far north as Copper and drop a few inches of accumulation, and again between Tuesday night and Wednesday night when a storm tracks to the northeast of Colorado.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, high temperatures will range from the upper 20s to the low 30s, and then Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be warmer with high temperatures in the 40s.
Sunday, April 14 - Saturday, April 20
Most of the longer-range forecast models now agree that we could experience multiple, colder storms during this stretch of seven days. Odds are slightly higher for snow during the middle of the week, but for now, I am penciling in the chance for snow and cooler temperatures on any of these days, and we'll fine-tune the forecast as we get closer to next week.
My next update will be Tuesday morning.
