Update

We are back in snow-ville as a fast-moving system dropped 3 inches on Sunday night. Enjoy the fresh flakes on Monday morning, and get ready for more because another storm is about to hit Colorado.

This next storm should bring clouds to Copper later on Monday and Monday night, with light snow on Monday night into Tuesday morning. I am NOT expecting significant snow totals by Tuesday morning because the wind direction will be from the south and east, which is not favorable for Copper.

Then, between Tuesday mid-morning and Tuesday night at midnight, the wind direction will swing around to blow from the northwest, and this is a more favorable direction for Copper. Expect snow showers on Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening that could amount to another 3-6 inches, mostly after lifts close. This means that the best powder could be on Wednesday morning. Keep your eye on the snow stake camera late Tuesday and Tuesday night to see if the snow is piling up!

Following this storm, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be dry and warmer, then we’ll see a chance for snow every day from Saturday April 8 through Wednesday April 12. Stay tuned for more details!
